Senator Voinovich Visits
Monday, October 21, 2002
COATC hosted U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich and his wife, Janet, for a tour and meeting with business and government officials from Licking County. Senator Voinovich, as Governor, attended the October 4, 1996 ceremony where the former Newark Air Force Base was officially transferred to the Port Authority.

His visit helped to raise the profile of the economic development plans for COATC as well as highlight Ohio and Licking County's significant role in military preparedness.
