PORT AUTHORITY ELECTS OFFICERS
HEATH, OHIO – The Board of Directors of the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority elected officers at its regular June meeting. Stephen Layman was re-elected Chairman and Ron Sheldon was re-elected Vice Chairman/Secretary for one-year terms.
Layman has served as Chairman of the Port Authority Board since June 1998. He is a Licking County appointee to the Board and is a principal in Anderson Layman Ohio Equities in Newark.
Sheldon was elected to his seventh term as Vice Chairman/Secretary. He is a Licking County appointee to the Board and is retired from Holophane in Newark.
The Board of Directors consists of nine members, three appointed by each of the City of Heath, City of Newark, and Licking County Commissioners. The Port Authority owns and develops the 350-acre Central Ohio Aerospace & Technology Center in Heath and is the largest self-sustaining port authority in Ohio.
