PADGETT TO TOUR AEROSPACE CENTER IN HEATH

HEATH, OHIO -- The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority will host 18th Congressional District candidate State Senator Joy Padgett for a briefing on the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center (“The Base”) in Heath as well as a tour of the Bionetics Corporation laboratories on Tuesday, September 12.

The Base is the largest defense-related facility in the 18th Congressional District employing over 900 people and with an estimated $200 million annual impact on the regional economy. Bionetics operates the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory at The Base.

Media are invited to take part in the briefing portion of the visit which begins at 12:00 p.m. A media availability is scheduled at 12:45 p.m.
