Officials from Boeing, Bionetics, Atlantic Inertial Sytems, and the Port Authority took part in the day-long series of events associated with the first annual "Ohio Aerospace Day" in the state capitol. The day included recognition for the COATC contingent during the Senate Session and sponorship recognition at a legislative reception at the Statehouse.

The public-private contingent met with State Senator Tim Schaffer, State Representatives Jay Hottinger and Dan Dodd, and state Development Department representatives as part of the day's festivities. The work of the Port Authority was noted at a Ohio Council of Port Authorities reception in the morning as well.

Base participation was coordinated by the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority as part of its caucus-building strategy aimed at increasing knowledge among federal, state, and local officials about the value and impact of the COATC.
