Bionetics, Lockheed Martin Cut Ribbon on New Investment at COATC

The Bionetics Corporation operating the AFPSL at the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath, Ohio, hosted a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Monday, November 4, 2002 at the entrance to their newly-established Calibration Procedures Department work area. The Calibration Procedures Department (also known as the T.O. Dept.- T.O. for Technical Orders ) previously been divided into three separately located work areas.

Prior to the T.O. personnel moving in, the walls were patched and painted, the light fixtures were replaced, the carpet was shampooed, and work stations, phones, and computers were set up to accomodate the various functions of the department. This new environment is projected to increase productivity significantly.

The management of the T.O. Department under the direction of The Bionetics Corporation is subcontracted to Lockheed Martin.

Visitors to the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony included, William Mellana, Vice President of the Civil, Commercial, and Launch Programs, Woodrow McDonald, Program Manager of Technical Order Operation, and Mike Belfiore, Technical Order Subcontract Manager, all of Lockheed Martin; Jack Silvey, Vice President of Operations and Development, Bionetics; Colonel Gary Bledsoe and David Baker, Commander and Deputy Commander of AFMETCAL, Det 1; Bob Weideman, Director of the Boeing Guidance Repair Center; Major Joseph Finotti, Commander of the Defense Contracting Management Agency; and Richard Platt, Director of the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority.
